Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Pritam-The Magical Composer

Think of any hit song from any latest movie and it might turn out to be composed by Pritam. Right from his ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ days to ‘Jab We Met’ to the new release ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ his compositions have been loved by the audience a lot. Even though he did face a set back for ‘Dil Bole Haddipa’ and ‘All The Best’, Pritam came back with a bang  with the opening that ‘Love Aaj Kal’ got for it’s music.

If a composer takes all the credit for hit songs, then he is equally responsible for the failure of any film’s music at least that is what the composer himself thinks. Another film with music by Pritam is ‘Tum Mile’, where he has used a slower track. According to the composer he uses tracks as demanded by the mood of the film, so ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ has a much vibrant track,

Pritam is perhaps amongst the few directors who have used unconventional singers for their compositions. He has given singers like K.K Atif, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mohit Chauhan etc a chance to sing for him and coincidently all have been hit numbers.Going by all the hits that the young composer has given, it is difficult to say anything but Touch Wood!
