American Idol: Does Aaron Kelly remind you of David Archuleta?
The Hollywood round of American Idol is yet to begin, but many have already started predicting the probable stars of the show. One of most notable contestant of the show is the 16 year old Aaron Kelly from Pennsylvania.
He has consistently delivered a good performance and now he is being compared to the 2008 runner up David Archuleta. E Online has pointed out that that Aaron’s “wide-eyed precociousness” reminds them of David Archuleta. Even Buddy TV has compared Aaron with David. The website says that his cute boy charm is similar to that of David.
Aaron auditioned with Miley Cyrus’ song The Climb. He had a tough childhood. He and his brother were almost taken away from their parents by social services but luckily their uncle and aunt adopted them. Hopefully he is going to have a better life if carries on with his good performance. If he wins the title he will get $1 million and a recording contract for a year.
Even if he becomes a runner up on the show he will be approached by several record companies. Like David Archuleta was signed up by Jive records which helped him to come out with two albums, David Archuleta (2008) and Christmas from the Heart (2009). His first album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 Chart it has sold over 750000 copies in US and 900000 worldwide. Hope Aaron too has a similar luck!

Archie must have made an indelible imprint on the show, if the race is on now to find the next one. where is the ”next” lambert, where is the ”next” cook, where is the ”next” carrie… why would there be a lookout for the next archuleta if he wasn’t someone whose appeal and success on the show and off didn’t warrant this kind of attention… all it does is set this poor kelly guy up for needless scrutiny, and makes it all the more apparent that what archuleta has is special, and unique, and won’t be seen again by the likes of idol.
this is just another ploy, and backhanded attempt by e, and idol, to do everything but acknowledge how unique archuleta was on idol, and remains. kelly has nothing in common w/archuleta save for youth, and this ”prepackaged” and oh so manufactured attempt to drum up false comparisons is nothing more than a weak hype attempt from a dying show, and a roundabout compliment to archuleta, if the real search is on now to find someone, two years after his season has passed, to try and compare him to. e online can do better than this, and though anyone with eyes and ears will laugh at your attempt, it can also be viewed as a compliment * keep looking, because there’s only one archuleta, and kelly isn’t it.
Um, no. NO one reminds me of David Archuleta. He’s in a class all his own.

I don´t think this boy, Aaron Kelly, can be compared w/ David Archuleta, because David is amazing singer. He´s the best. He has the Voice, the personality. Thats why he´s my Idol. DAVID ARCHULETA IS DAVID ARCHULETA !!!!!
He reminds me of Danny Noriega and Ramiele Malubay. Is he hispanic or Philippino or does he just have a bad spray tan?
I don’t see any similarities other than youth. Aaaron may be talented but he didn’t stand out during the auditions. Maybe he’ll do better but his voice doesn’t come close to David, imo.
You’re kidding, right? Archuleta sings like an ANGEL and LOOKS like one too! God bless this kid Aaron ~ he has a lot to live up to if people are trying to compare the two! I hope he makes it at least into the Top 10! He looks like a very sweet kid! But no, NO COMPARISON!
I wish Aaron the best of luck. But let Aaron be himself. Most Archuleta fans I know have no need for another David Archuleta because we are extremely happy with the one we already have.

why is this? just remembered! because he is AWESOME!!! at the end of the season, ryan would be saying “and the david archuleta 2010 is…..” LMHO!
that only proved that david archuleta is the most popular american idol in american idol history. there will be no other david archuleta, hes truly amazing good guy.
I wish Aaron Kelly the best of luck this year. He seems like a nice young man. Please Idol let him sing and don’t try to make him something he is not.
Comparing him to David Archuleta is not fair. David is in a class all by himself and he will continue to evolve into the first class artist that some of us know he has the talent to be.
David Cook also a very talented young man is to be appreciated for his talents, Aaron for his and David Archuleta in my book for the stellar voice that makes him the REALLY UNIQUE VOICE OF THIS NEXT GENERATION.
No, It remind me of CLAY AIKEN not David Archuleta.
No way!!! David Archuleta is David Archuleta!! Nobody will be the next David Archuleta, because he is the whole package and he is one of a kind.
BWAH.. this is funny. There is only one David Archuleta. Perhaps he has one or two of David’s qualities.. David is deeply loved by his fans. I know there are many that don’t care for our beloved.. but those that do love him.. know why we love him.. and that we’ll always have his back.. nuff said
