Brit soul singer Amy Winehouse, 25, pleaded “not guilty” to a charge of assault during a London courtroom hearing.
The singer, who stated her name as Amy Jade Civil, had very little to say during the 15-minute hearing in the City of Westminster Magistrates Court on March 17, reports People magazine.
The Rehab singer was seated behind a plastic shield as she pleaded not guilty to assaulting Sherene Flash in September 2008 in Berkeley Square, London, at a high society ball.
The singer kept fidgeting throughout the proceedings, as her father Mitch and a minder watched from the side.
District judge and chief magistrate Timothy Workman set a trial date for July 23, and Winehouse was remanded on bail. (ANI)
