Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Why did they skip the Oscars?
Everyone is wondering why Hollywood’s A-listed couple namely Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt didn’t show up at the event of the year – the Oscars.
Sources told E News that Angelina is busy filming “The Tourist” and couldn’t make time for the Academy awards. But E Online points out that Hollywood actors can take a break from shooting in order to attend a big event. Like Jake Gyllenhaal headed back to Canada immediately after the show to resume filming his latest flick. And moreover Brangelina have the luxury of private jet which travels really fast.
Several news portals claim that the couple chose to take their kids to a birthday party in Venice on the awards days. The couple has bunked the Oscars for the third time in a row. Reports claim that since neither of them received an individual nomination they decided to give it a miss even though Pitt’s “Inglorious Basterds” was up for the Best Picture. They didn’t turn up in 2008 when neither Joliet nor Pitt get any nomination and also in 2007 when Pitt’s Babel was nominated for Best Picture.
But the lead actors of the “District 9”, “Avatar” and “A Serious Man” turned up sportingly even though they didn’t receive any individual nominations

So, you really want them to fly the entire family, 6 young kids, plus bodyguards, nannies, (cook, teacher and pets can stay in Italy) 14 hour, one-way, 28 hours round-trip for one night so they can attend some lame function they don’t really need to attend? It went off just fine without them. Just needed to write a Brangelina article for Internet hits, did you?

I feel that Brad and Ange are dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t!! Tabloids, goss mags etc just can’t leave them alone have to have a daily dose of them printing some made up crap about Brad and Ange!!!!!!!
When they were in LA they didn’t show up to any of the award shows eventhough they were held there. Yet people are attacking them for not attending one when they are halfway around the world?

yes, they were seated in the front row last year when MANiston was one of the presenters and buckled her lines (musta been extremely nervous to see them). thankfully jack black was with her to save her from further embarrassment, but hey, she def enjoyed that precious moment. face it, without brangelina that cabo wh*re won’t even be in the news
Hey JoliBgood I understand your sentiment but the best way to take the limelight of the talentless is to ignore them…serioulsy we are the ones who boost their celeb status, the more comments and logging into the sites of ‘wanna be’s’ is an indicator of their interest value. I know many people want to see what some of them are saying or doing because the issue may link to Brad and Ange, some comparison drawn or comment made that the press immediately look for a way to connect the dots…don’t read it and eventually you can stem the flow and actually take away someone’s so called star power. The more we look and comment the more we’re feeding their alleged fame…
its ok if they did not attend the academy thy are busy couple and besides all of that they are still A list actors but i really missed on the academy awards noght and of course there will be no pictures of angie on OK mag anyway im waiting the movie of angie SALT i just love her so much.
Im a bragelina avid fan. its ok if they did not make ot to the oscars award. ill just her movie SALT. it sad that will not see her in gown to be featured in OK MAGAZINE my favoritew mag .
