“This is it” initial dates are being delayed. Not a happy thing to happen for anyone invloved with the concert, but its the die-hard fans of Jacko who are the worst hit.
In a statement to Access Hollywood, AEG said they ‘have elected to move back a few of the opening shows in order to meet the challenges presented by such a massive and technically complex show.’
Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG Live says ” As much as we agonized over thischange in the original schedule, we are sure the fans will understand….”
The problem is not that the fans are not understanding enough, the issue is that re-scheduling people don’t understand the impact of changing dates to such an extent – From July 2009 to March 2010. Few days delay is acceptable but nine months delay is just too much.

im going on 12th july- now march!
not happy at all although i understand it may be easier said than done to hold concerts a few days after the other as the O2 arena could be booked on the inbetween days.
however, im now trying to get tickets for the 13th july and for that il have to cough up up to 6 times what i paid for the original tickets, but im one of the luckier ones.
its horrific for some who are flying from the other end of the world to see these concerts and who have spent a fortune on travel fees and AEG are only offering a ticket refund! they should be doing more like maybe even goodie bags or seat upgrades or discount on te 2nd hand market…cause pushing those in the front of the line 2the back is no way to treat people.May 22nd, 2009 at 10:29 pm
