‘Batman’ : ‘The Dark Knight’ director puts third ‘Batman’ sequel on hold

Those waiting for the third ‘Batman’ flick might be in for disappointment, for ‘The Dark Knight’ director Christopher Nolan has signed a sci-fi movie and won’t start the next outing of the ‘Caped Crusader’ before two years at least.

Nolan directed the comic book adaptations in 2005 with Batman Begins, and then made the 2008 box office smash ‘The Dark Knight’.

And now that fans are eagerly waiting for a third Batman offering by the British filmmaker, Nolan has signed up to direct futuristic offering ‘Inception’.

Any plans for another Batman outing will have to wait at least another two years, reports Contactmusic.

‘Inception’ is based on a script written by Nolan himself, and filming for it expected to start this summer.

The film’s release is expected in 2010. (ANI)
