Becks’ housekeepers deny stealing items from his home

Ace footballer David Beckham and his wife Victoria’s housekeepers have come forward in their own defence after they were arrested on suspicion of theft from his home.
The items, which appeared on the Internet auction site eBay, were spotted by Posh’s parents, who eventually reported the theft.
But the housekeepers, Eric Emmett, 56, and his wife June, 55, along with their son 25-year-old Gareth, have vehemently denied stealing anything from the Beckhams’ home.
“We’re totally innocent,” the Sun quoted Eric, who is also the director of a Birmingham-based packaging firm, as saying.
“It’s a total fabrication. It’s all got totally out of control.
“There is absolutely nothing in it. We have never taken anything from them ever – end of story.
“We had free access to the house and I looked after the cars and other bits. My wife has known Victoria for ten years. It’s a misunderstanding,” he stated.
When asked whether he was being paid well, he said: “I wouldn’t exactly say that.”
June Emmett had earlier denied having anything to do with the theft when reporters questioned her.
“It’s absolute nonsense and we feel completely humiliated,” she had said.
Added to the two elderly couple’s statements, was their son’s plea for the family to be left alone.
“This is all fabrication,” Gareth had stated.
It was rumoured that the Emmetts, of Nazeing, Essex, told cops the Beckhams gave them boots, sportswear and designer gear as gifts. (ANI)
