Black Eyed Peas were left embarrassed at NRJ Awards

The highly successful hiphop band Black Eyed Peas were left embarrassed at an awards ceremony in France on Saturday after their award for Best International Group was taken back due to an error. The group performed the opening act at the show with their hit single I Gotta Feeling for which it won the Best International Song at the event.
Pop Star Kesha and French choreographer Kamel Ouali took the stage to announce the Best International Group and they mistakenly announced the name of Black Eyed Peas. The band was delighted with the honor. But their celebration was short lived as Ouali returned to the stage to admit the error. By mistake he read out the wrong name; the actual winner was Tokio Hotel who were then handed the award.
A similar error was made last year as well when Katie Perry was mistakenly given the award for Best International Song when it should have gone to Rihanna.
Speaking about Rihanna, she was a part of another embarrassment at the same event. The R&B slipped while performing Russian Roulette. She fell off the platform at the end of the song but she quickly managed to gather herself. At the event she won the award for Best International Female.
