Adnan was initially charged with three felonies: assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run, but the first two charges were dropped as a part of his plea deal.

Adnan would be put on probation for 36 months, and must complete 52 weeks of anger management classes and 45 days of hard labor by community service.

He pleaded no contest last month to leaving the scene of an accident that injured a man who was trying to serve him with a restraining order.

TMZ gave a shocker when it reported that he was just sentenced to 45 days in county jail as a result.

He also owns a dinosaur skull for which he reportedly outbid Leonardo DiCaprio at auction in 1997, winning it for a mere 165,000 pounds, and of his 50-odd cars the most he paid was 296,000 pounds for a Lamborghini once owned by the Shah of Iran.

Also, while portraying an alcoholic for his Oscar-winning role in 1995’s Leaving Las Vegas, Cage, who owns a jet and two yachts, apparently hired an “on set drinking-璫onsultant-poet”. (ANI)

Singer/songwriter Rickey Allen had filed a lawsuit against the girl group in 2006, claiming their 2004 track Cater 2 U was inspired by a song he composed with the same title, which he first copyrighted in the mid-1990s.

Allen’s song is about “relieving the stress of a significant other” and he insists even the lyrics in Destiny’s Child’s song are suspiciously similar to his.

He claimed he handed over a version of his song to producer Maurice Joshua, who is said to have later worked with the Bootylicious hitmakers in the studio. Joshua maintains he never held a copy of the song.

Lawyers for the trio, which disbanded in 2005, asked to throw out the case but U.S. District Judge James Holderman has now given the go-ahead for the copyright case to hit a Chicago, Illinois courtroom on December 10.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, Beyonce is expected to take the stand, because her legal team claims she came up with the idea for the track.

“She is perhaps the most important witness for the defendants,” Contactmusic quoted a statement in their legal filing as stating.

“Do we say (Beyonce’s) responsible for copying? Yes. But there’s no such thing as innocent copying, even if it’s unintentional. The jury will decide the notion that these are simple coincidences,” Allen’s lawyer Matt Wildermuth added.

The trial was previously delayed due to Knowles’ busy schedule. (ANI)

Apparently it was Miley Cyrus tour bus crash which was carrying about 10 passengers. The suddenly lost control when it was going at high speed on the Interstate 85 highway. It’s been reported that most of the passengers are safe except for one who got badly injured and could not make it.

The Hannah Montana star was supposed to perform Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Cyrus, the daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus, who also appears on the family friendly sitcom “Hannah Montana,” was luckily not on the bus.

Police investigators said, the roads were slick from heavy rainfall Thursday evening, but they’ve not yet determined the cause of the accident. A wrecker was arranged late Friday morning to haul away the bus.

“The French police have informed us that Korean citizen Kim Daul committed suicide in her apartment,” Korean embassy spokesman Lee Seung Yoo said. “One of her friends found her body hanging in her apartment.”"Her family are coming to Paris from Seoul and will be arriving this evening or tomorrow morning,” he added.

“She was a top model and a great friend of all of us at Next.” Her agency said.

“We express deep condolences to Daul Kim’s family.” Her agency in South Korea, Esteem, said.

The young model was born in South Korea and she debuted on the runway for Chanel, Dries Van Noten and Maison Martin Margiela in 2007, and recently appeared in a commercial for Christopher Kane’s Topshop line.

No one knows why is suicide becoming a common form of death for models and no one knows why Daul did the same.

Few years back, she bought a 700 square feet apartment at 340 E 74th Street where she fell in love with one of the building’s door man, Angel Rotger. Soon after they feel in love, they got married and Angel came to live with her in the Upper East Side building where he’d once worked.

Angel was allegedly fired because of the marriage.

Christina Ambers couldn’t take the humiliation anymore and she handed a lawsuit to her building. The lawsuit claims her husband, Angel Rotger, lost his job and building employees made her hail her own taxis and retrieve her packages after the couple became romantically involved. The suit also claims the super’s wife whacked Rotger in the family jewels with a bag in an unprovoked attack this past August. Rotger was “diagnosed with a contusion of the testicle,” the suit says. That must have been a real tough blow because you don’t get contusion that easily.

Building lawyer Joe Colbert says the claims have “no merit.” Time would decide the outcome of the lawsuit. Let’s just wait and watch.

There have been few minor changes like – the wolves will get ample screen space in New Moon unlike last year’s Twilight, the look and style of the film after new director Chris Weitz came on board the franchise has significantly changed.
There are some bigger changes as well, like Taylor Lautner’s (Jacob Black in the movie) has gone through a major physical change. He is all beefed up and super muscular now.

The movie won’t disappoint the Twilighter’s for sure. In the movie, Bella is separated from her vampire boyfriend against her wish. Bella is left unprotected and exposed to wandering vampires who are pretty angry of Bella’s former lover’s family as they barbequed some of their friends. After Edward’s departure, she is left emotionally shatter and cuts off ties from her friends and family.

Taylor Lautner Bella’s childhood friend Jacob Black turns up and Bella’s wounds begin to slowly heal when Jacob comes back into her life. The director has done a fabulous job with Jacob and his wolf pack brothers. The wolves are pretty good and are convincing enough to portray that they are outsiders with a secret agenda of living. The young wolves have some funny moments too.

Weitz has done an incredible job with the secondary cast, making all the characters felt needed and there was not a single moment where Bella’s friends and others felt unneeded.

Weitz was taken mainly because of his experience with digital creatures on The Golden Compass and he proved his worth by portraying astounding bear-sized werewolves, amazing fight sequences and the compelling human side of the wolves added a tremendous touch to his craftsmanship.

The Edward Bella romance was portrayed in a soul less fashion (vamps don’t have soul), for example when Robert and Kristen reunite, he acts every bit as robotic and gloomy as his co-star. You won’t see those emotions flowing and that’s how it is supposed to be.

The movie was overall good and nothing astounding, people must go grab a bite at this for sure but don’t expect anything too much out of it.

Nearly, 75,000 people came to see the ‘it’ couple. It is one of the largest malls in India. Each mall is more than 1 km long and there were thronging crowds at the atria area. There were nine floors; each was packed with fans.”

Though the security was in place to ward off any danger, the number of people at the ‘Ambience’ swelled massively and with all falling at the door of a shop to catch a glimpse of the couple, the door eventually gave way.

Saif however brushed off the incident saying, ‘I think such things are too trivial to talk about.”

He wanted subtle bling into the outfit, so we’ve added muted swarovski crystals.”

Tahiliani says,  “I’ve used vibrant colors, brocade and crystallized Swarovski elements for Shilpa’s wedding dress, which is a stunning  sari-drape in red, covered all over in ruby and Swarovski pearls.”
Ishu Datwani of Anmol Jewellers that has designed Shilpa’s bridal jewellery says, “She will be covered from head to toe in uncut diamonds.”

The couple will then take off for Bahamas for their honeymoon. “The honeymoon has been planned by Raj after doing a lotof research about places that Shilpa has not been to,” reveals a source.
Shilpa visited Siddhivinayak temple with Kundra and sister Shamita on Wednesday to seek divine blessings. This has always been a favourite place for the Bollywood stars before they start of with something like this!

The film has been named “Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story” and the event was declared the 92^nd birth anniversary of the late prime minister on Thursday. The Golden Globe nominee Shah has been writing the script of the film for the last 23years and the movie is to hit the screen by 2011 end. The pre-production of the film is already done and the shooting is expected to start by April 2010 in India, Britain, US and Russia.

“I have followed Indira Gandhi’s life through media, books and critics. It’s such an exciting and dramatic story. I want the future generation to know her story. A whole new generation has grown and matured since her assassination and through this film I hope to connect people with their history and legacy,” Shah said in the press conference.

Apart from Madhuri in the film, there are some other big names as well. Legend Dharmendra is to play Motilal Nehru while Abhay Deol and Nana Patekar are approached to play Rajeev Gandhi and Jayaprakash Narayan respectively. Hollywood star Tom Hanks or Tommy Lee Jones will probably be playing the role of former US president Lyndon Baines Johnson.

The film will be made into two parts. First part will show starting from Indira’s birth to her victory against Pakistan in 1971 while the second part will cover her political journey from the rise of Sanjay Gandhi till her assassination. The movie will be in Hinglish and will have no songs in it.

It seems Shah has done some real research on Indira project for all these 23years. “It’s such an exciting, dramatic story. The canvas of her life is too big to be contained in one film,” Shah commented on Indira’s life.

Aadesh Srivastava, the music director of the film praises, “Amitabh does not sound like a grown-up man imitating a child. Don’t ask me how he has managed to do it. I just sat there stunned.” He added that the song would be an immediate hit among children.

The other songs are sung by singers like Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shilpa Roy, while Ilayaraja’s chorus group sang Halke Se Bole and the Paa theme. The song Gumm Summ has been sung by R Bavatharini which has a childlike innocence in it.

Paa is an honest effort unlike anything else in the market. Simple, sweet melodies that strike a chord are hard to come by these days. Paa is one of the few albums that stay away from any gimmickry. This one is straight from the heart.

Mere Paa is ofcourse a must listen song which will keep you searching for Amitabh’s trademark baritone. It’s hard to recognize Big B’s voice and it shows what level of performance you can expect from him. I bet you had never heard anything like this before!

The former Miss Universe became a single mother in 2000 when she adopted Renee and she feels that it’s time now to complete her family.  She is keen to adopt a baby, preferable baby girl, as a sibling for Renee and to become mother for the second time.

If buzz is to be believed Sushmita has been visiting adoption centers lately. A source was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, “She became particularly fond of a newborn but then it was found that the baby was too young.”

She was also spotted shopping at an international baby wear brand outlet in Bandra. A shopper revealed that Sushmita was seen trying out baby sling carrier and also surveying all the baby stuffs on display in the store.

Are these all hints that Sushmita wants to have another baby? Or are were speculating too much? Left to all to decide…

The 21-year-old star was grateful to her rigorous live shows for helping her maintain her slender figure despite her fast food indulgence.

She said: “Being on tour gets you in shape which is good considering how I eat pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. There’s a lot of junk food because when you’re on tour it’s difficult to prepare meals.

“There’s always noodles, a lot of microwave meals, endless chips and snacks and bad stuff. You perform for an hour and a half so you can work some of it off at least. But not all of it!” (ANI)

Andre says that following his break-up with Jordan, he spiralled into such a depression, he couldn’t bear to look at his own reflection.

However, the singer insists he has now bounced back with six-packs.

“When we split up, I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror and I locked myself in my manager’s house for five weeks,” the Mirror quoted Peter as saying.

“All my confidence vanished and I felt so anxious and stressed out that my appetite disappeared and I could barely eat. I dropped nearly three stone in three months – I went from 13st 8lb to 10st 12lb.

“Once I lost the weight, though, I was determined not to go back to the way I was and I feel much more confident about myself now.

“Exercise, sex and chocolate are great for making you feel good and I am doing two out of the three! I train for about an hour five days a week and feel I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been. I can eat what I want and that includes scoffing half a big bar of Cadbury’s a day.

“I love the fact that I have a six-pack – which I haven’t had for years. I’m the same weight I was in the Mysterious Girl days 15 years ago – I feel more energetic and younger.

“OK, I’m getting a few lines but when you get to your mid-30s they start to creep up and you have to let it happen. Each week I’m getting stronger – and I feel a million times better than I did a couple of months ago. I’ve had one panic attack since the split but, thankfully, I haven’t had any more.

“To say I’m 100 per cent back to my old self would be wide of the mark but I reckon I’m 90 per cent there,” he added. (ANI)

Harpo had earlier this year asked Mutual of Omaha to stop using the phrase while promoting its products, as it created an association with Winfrey, reports the BBC.

Winfrey, 55, often uses the slogan on her programme to describe “flashes of understanding”.

The Omaha-based company responded to Harpo’s request with legal action stating it had obtained preliminary approval of a trademark on “aha moment”.

Mutual also said it had conceived the slogan in early 2008 and encountered no opposition when it made its application to the US patents office.

Harpo made no response to Mutual’s move asking a court to declare it had not infringed Winfrey’s rights, and it asked for their claim to be dismissed last month.

They used the slogan in a website campaign in which users chose the best “aha moments” to be at the heart of a series of TV adverts.

The 10 stories are still appearing on their Internet site, while the company calls itself “proud sponsor of life’s aha moments”.

Representatives for Harpo and Mutual have declined to give any further details about the case. (ANI)
