This is borne out by countless instances which witnessed Lambert daringly attempting an octave and a half sitar rendition of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’ and also the incident which saw sex toys being hurled at him while on stage at the American Idol tour.

After reaching the triumphant leg of an eventful journey, we sure hope that the eccentric Adam’s maiden album scores well with his fans and the general audience.

And after all these years, the one person of all who inarguably copped the maximum pain and shed the maximum tears apart from countless other faithfuls, over Freddie’s untimely passing has opened out. Though she has lived with the grief for years, 86 year old Jer Bulsara has now sought to recount the bitter memories surrounding the loss of her famous son to Aids and the days when she helplessly saw Freddie waste away on a hospital bed.

Reliving the memories of her son, who gave a whole new meaning to the genre of Rock music, the lady says, “We were in Feltham for quite some time. Freddie used to came and visit us. So, it’s nice that he is remembered by the people there.”

Saying that Freddie was a born performer, Mrs. Bulsara adds, “He used to love playing records all the time and then sing – any sort of music, folk, classical or Indian music.”

Well, Freddie might have left us way too soon but his genius shall surely outlive time.

Well, the fact that there was so much originality in the songs and the way the Indian Ragas have been incorporated in most of the compositions is a matter to be understood.

There was a time when there were days and days of rehearsals before a two minute song was recorded. There were no dubbing techniques or modern facility to speak of. Yet each song had such haunting melodies that even today they sound great.

Songs like Saamne yeh kaun aya, Oh Hasina zulfo wali Jaane Jaana, Din Hai Suhana aaj pehli Taarikh hai, have all been used as catch lines for various commercials at some point or another. Remixes of innumerable songs have come up from time to time, yet, the original has not been forgotten by die hard fans of bollwood old song fans.

However, good times have again come for bollywood music. Every new movie releasing has astounding music and meaningful songs which the audience is lapping up happily. All music stores are doing well and it seems that the golden period of bollywood music is back. With so many channels spurning out winners on the reality based competitions, there are so many singers and thankfully many are getting a break into bollywood to sing as professional singers.

So it is surely a time of great music and melodious songs albeit with tough competition, as each singer is sounding better than the other. Amongst all this the audience is getting full value for money along with entertainment.

The band recently released their eleventh studio album’ The Circle’, containing the song based on a news report about a small town in Ohio, whose local economy was destroyed when shipping company DHL closed its local depot.

The chorus sees Jon Bon Jovi “raise a hand” to help while the verses depict an unlucky worker juggling two jobs, and making ends meet “by the grace of God”, reports the BBC.

The singer revealed Axelrod hung up the song for daily inspiration.

The rocker said: “He’s had them framed, before the album’s even out, as an inspiration to the work they’re doing every day.” (ANI)

The songs were pulled from the Internet after a copyright violation lawsuit was filed at a Los Angeles court on November 3, to prevent the sale of “unauthorised content” by Bluebeat.com, reports the Daily Star.

The website had allegedly offered the tracks for download at discounted prices even though the Fab Four’s music is not licensed for Internet downloads.

Last year, Sir Paul McCartney announced he would like to see the band’s songs available on Apple’s iTunes store, but admitted negotiations had “stalled”.

Executives at EMI, the company that owns the Beatles’ recordings, need to agree a deal with the surviving bandmates and Apple Corps before the catalogue can be made available online.

Now Bluebeat.com has been banned from streaming or selling tracks by the band, as well as other EMI artists.

Website bosses claimed they were only selling re-recorded versions of the hits using a technology called “psycho-acoustic simulation”, but the judge ruled they did not have enough evidence to support the argument.

The case will go back to court on November 20. (ANI)

“Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world. This one could run and run,” BBC News quoted AEG Live promoter Rob Hallett as saying. The concerts, to begin in June next year, will mark Bon Jovi’s return to the London venue, after they opened it in 2007.

“When Jon Bon Jovi opened the O2 with the words, ‘Hello London, welcome to your new home’, little did he realize that we were already plotting to make it his new home,” said Hallett.

The O2 gigs will be part of the group’s Circle Tour named after their forthcoming album and will be their only European dates of 2010. Eventually late Michael Jackson was supposed to play a record-breaking run of 50 dates at the O2 this summer but passed away before the shows began.

On 2nd November, the band – Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres have sold 120 million albums and will release their latest album, The Circle.

According to Billboard magazine, they have performed more than 2,600 concerts to 34 million fans in over 50 countries and notched up the highest-grossing tour of 2008 with takings of $210 million.

“In some songs all you can see is a clear doorway and you can hear the crowd singing so you think, ‘Wonderful, this song is great.’ And then it’s when the light all starts getting blocked and everyone’s going to the bathroom. Then you’re like, ‘OK, that song’s out,’” Contactmusic quoted frontman Chris Martin as saying.

"He’s making enquiries about a number of special locations and he’s keen to play in China and at Checkpoint Charlie," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

The insider said: "I just hope the UK will be on the loveable mop-top’s itinerary." The former Beatles singer’s last major stint in Britian was the Back In The World Tour in 2003.

McCartney, who will be 70 by the time the planned concerts get over, apparently, wants to hang his guitar with a big bang.

The source added: "Paul wants to go out with a bang. "He’s played countless stadiums over his 50-year career and is on the hunt for the most unusual locations he can find.

"He realises that the older he gets, the less his body will be able to cope with the demands of extended periods on the road. "He might play the odd benefit gig if the likes of President Obama gives him a bell – but other than that he’ll be putting his feet up and enjoying retirement.

"The tour in 2010 is likely to last well over a year, by which time he will be almost 70."

The ‘Poker Face’ singer – who is dating a businessman called Speedy – insists that she won’t ever settle down because her music is more reliable than men, reports the China Daily.

ABBA’s songwriting team Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus will form a part of a gig featuring some of the pop legends’ greatest tracks in London.

"This must be the greatest honour that can be bestowed on any songwriter. We are absolutely delighted and we hope thousands of Radio 2 listeners will join us there," the BBC quoted the songwriters as saying in a statement.

The announcement came amid reports that the group was approached to fill in Michael Jackson’s 50-show run at London’s O2 arena.

But Andersson has denied the story saying on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, ""No-one’s asked us, and if they did we wouldn’t say yes."

It has been reported that Susan is working on her debut album and will try to bring it out by Christmas. Boyle, who was the runner-up on the show, sat in central London studio with producers from Simon Cowell’s record company, Sony Music.

The record is set to be “musical themed” – reflecting Susan’s love of West End stage shows. She is likely to sing a duet with her idol Elaine Paige for the new album.

And her BGT song ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Miserables is likely to be the opening track. “Wednesday was Susan’s first day as a recording artist – she had a brilliant time,” the Sun quoted an insider as saying.

“She talked about what songs she wanted for the album – it’s going to be a case of trying to pin her down to her favourite ten or so,” the insider added.

Her focus on personal success has made Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am frustrated. He thinks she has become arrogant.

He was furious with his bandmate after a recent show in California, and is worried there is no future for the band unless she changes her ways.

“Will.i.am was ranting after their set about how arrogant she was acting. He griped that the whole thing had become ‘The Fergie Show’,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling the National Enquirer.

“He was so upset he said things are going to have to change if he group is going to stay together,” the source added.

Last year, it was claimed will.i.am was upset with Fergie’s decision to pursue a movie career while they were trying to make new album ‘The E.N.D.’

A source said at the time: “Fergie won’t commit to a tour schedule to promote the album. Making her movie ‘Nine’ is her priority now.”

She informed on social networking site Twitter that her upcoming album’s title is ‘Memoirs Of an Imperfect Angel’. She has also revealed that she wants her fans to be the first ones to know about her forthcoming album, as they mean a lot to her.

“I want you to be the first to know the title of my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” the Mirror quoted her as stating on Twitter. “It’s very personal and dedicated to you,” she added.

The band have been running into a number of bad incidents on their current road trip, including several injuries to crewmembers, technical glitches, and a bout of severe food poisoning.

After they became convinced that the tour is jinxed, they called in the witch doctor, and they even made ‘reverse voodoo dolls” in a bid to turn their luck around.

“It’s actually been a little bit cursed. We’ve had two trips to the hospital and we’ve had a show that was cancelled due to lightning,” the Daily Star quoted bass player Pete Wentz as telling TheAquarian.com.

“There was a food poisoning that ran rampant through one bus, and then someone broke their ankle, or did something to their ankle.

“So we have a shaman coming in to bless the tour today, and we’re making the opposite of voodoo dolls, whatever that is. There’s a bit of a hex on this tour, but the show’s nuts.

“We’re doing anti-rain dances. We’re going to make it happen. We need this show blessed,” he added. (ANI)

“There’s been this argument about Coldplay stealing this melody from Joe Satriani, but, if you listen to it, it’s mine! It’s the Foreigner Suite, it is!” the Sun quoted him as saying.

American guitarist, Satriani has already launched legal proceedings against the quartet, alleging his 2004 song ‘If I Could Fly’ forms the lads’ global smash.

The strummer claims it incorporates “substantial original portions” of his song and is seeking “any and all profits” from the track.

And now Yusuf believes there is a connection between his 18-minute ditty and the lads’ tune. (ANI)

Fergie, 34, who had taken a break from the group to concentrate on her solo music career, with her debut album ‘The Dutchess’ becoming a hit, says she is happy to be back in the group.

“It’s nice to be back with the guys. We had a break and it is really good to get back together,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Fergie as telling LA’s Insider.

“I did my album The Dutchess, and I got to film the movie Nine, plan my wedding, get married, go on my honeymoon, all of that, and it just felt right to get back with the boys,” she added.

It’s been four years since the band, Fergie, will.i.am, aple.de.ap, and Taboo, released their fourth studio album, ‘Monkey Business’, which sold more than 10 million copies and won them two Grammy Awards.

They had massive worldwide hits with the singles ‘Don’t Phunk With My Heart’, ‘Don’t Lie’ and ‘Pump It’ and it looks set to continue as the new single, ‘Boom Boom Pow’, went straight to the top of the US charts. (ANI)

The Blowin’ in the Wind hitmaker has reunited with longtime songwriting partner, Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter to make music.

“Hunter is an old buddy. We could probably write a hundred songs together if we thought it was important or the right reasons were there,” Contactmusic quoted Dylan as saying.

“He’s got a way with words and I do too. We both write a different type of song than what passes today for songwriting.

“We’ll be writing a couple of other songs too, for some off-Broadway play,” he added.  The duo recently collaborated to put together tracks for Dylan’s new album, ‘Together Through Life’. (ANI)

The ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ hitmaker, who is under the conservatorship of her father Jamie, went to the L.A. court to  seek permission to take her shows beyond North America, Canada and Britain, earlier this month, reports Contactmusic.

Britney had made it clear that she is keen to perform in Europe. It was feared the judge overseeing the case would deny the star the right to tour mainland Europe, amid worries over the sinking value of the dollar and the weak U.S. economy.

However, court officials have ruled in Spears’ favour – granting her permission to extend her shows through the summer (09).

Boyzone’s much-awaited UK and Ireland tour has run into trouble after singer Keith Duffy collapsed following the London marathon – and had to have an emergency double hernia operation.

After a 3hour 52minute gruelling course, Duffy started experiencing shooting pains in his stomach and was rushed to the doctor.   While he’s recovering after surgery, he has been told to take it easy in order to get himself in shape for the May/June tour dates. Bandmate Mikey Graham admitted the group’s rehearsals are also at risk.

“No one is quite sure how long the healing process will be. It leaves us in an unfortunate position because after an hernia op you can’t do too much jumping around,” he said.

Speaking hours before his op, Keith said: “There’d be no way I could do this tour if I didn’t have the operation. I’ll just have to wait and see how it goes.”  (ANI)

Susan Boyle’s rivals fear they don’t stand a chance against her and have considered pulling out of the show as they feel it’s a “done deal”. “I don’t think I can compete with Susan – I feel no-one else has a chance. She’s captured the world’s imagination,” the Daily Star quoted saxophone player Julian Smith, 40, as saying.

Another act added: “Everybody keeps saying the show must go on, but it’s pretty tough being in a competition when everybody knows the winner already.”

But show judge Piers Morgan, 44, last week told the competitors not to be too hasty as he strongly believes the competition is still wide open. “I think Hollie can beat Susan. And so can Shaheen from last week. So can a few other acts you haven’t even seen yet,” he wrote on his blog.

Even Hollywood actress Demi Moore, 46, believes the show is not over yet, especially after she saw 10-year-old Hollie Steel’s amazing performance on YouTube.

“Just seen Hollie. Wow, the talent keeps on coming. More competition for Susan,” Moore wrote on her Twitter site. (ANI)

Brit schoolboy Shaheen Jafargholi is being considered as the “next Paul Potts” after his soulful rendition of Jackson Five’s ‘Who’s Loving You’ on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.

Jafargholi, 12, almost did not make it when he sang a version of Amy Winehouse’s song ‘Valerie’, and he was asked by judge Simon Cowell to sing something else. He shocked the audience with his rendition of ‘Who’s Loving You’, and he received a standing ovation from the crowd and

judges, with Cowell saying that he is the best pop singer he has seen in ten years.

Fellow judge Amanda Hooton even went on to compare him to former contestant Paul Potts.  “Since the day I was born I have always wanted to sing,” News.com.au quoted Jafargholi as telling the Daily Mail. “I would love to be a big recording artist. I would love to be as famous as Michael Jackson,” he added. His performance drew 13 million viewers in Britain, making it the most watched TV show of the year.

At a party at the Caf? de Paris to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the hit West End show that inspired the film, the Swedish musician said he’s against a sequel to the film.

“It wouldn’t work. I don’t think we would do a sequel. We have moved on to other projects now,” the Telegraph quoted Ulvaeus as saying.

Ulvaeus feels that a follow-up ‘would be made for all the wrong reasons’.

A pal of the 63-year-old songwriter has claimed that Ulvaeus believes such a film would be produced only to add to the 434 million pounds that the original has made around the world and would have no artistic justification.

“He says that all the most popular songs have been used in Mamma Mia! and he is more interested in his other projects,” said his pal.

However, executives at Universal, the Hollywood studio, are believed to be ‘desperate’ for a sequel.

Judy Craymer, one of the film’s six producers, says she is determined to persuade Ulvaeus and his fellow Abba songwriter, Benny Andersson, who composed additional music for the film, to give the go-ahead. (ANI)

Johnny Buckland, the band’s guitarist, hopes that the break will keep their fans from getting tired of them and their music.

“We ended up doing much more touring than we originally planned so there’s no time to do proper justice to a new project. And anyway people may need a bit of a break from us,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

They have revealed that some producers approached them in the early Nineties with the idea of staging a show, in which their songs would be performed by lions, tigers, giraffes and elephants.

The songwriters said that they declined to give the producers the go-ahead.

“The musical was originally meant to be a one-hour TV special based on Abba songs,” the Daily Express quoted Bjorn as telling during an interview with the Elaine Paige On Sunday Show on Radio Two.

“There were a few scriptwriters involved and one script included animals and stuff. Nothing came of it.

“We just said ‘No’,” the 62-year-old added.

Set on a Greek isle, the ‘Mamma Mia!’ musical revolves around a daughter trying to find her father on her wedding day. It has grossed more than one billion pounds since it opened 10 years ago.

Last year’s Mamma Mia! movie is the highest-grossing film musical of all time. (ANI)

As Michael Jackson prepares for his ‘last ever’ London gigs, the demand for concert tickets has soared, leaving the sales website eventually crashed.

Nearly 360,000 fans have snapped up tickets for his final UK concerts so far.

Die-hard Jacko fans, from Congo and Australia have got the chance to get their tickets.

The first 100,000 pre-sale tickets were snapped up within two hours of the website opening yesterday and in 10 hours, some 240,000 tickets – costing 50 pounds and 75 pounds – had been sold.

Some people are even trying to cash in. One of the punters has already put a pair of tickets on eBay for 10,000 pounds.

“It’s been quite extraordinary. Showbusiness history has been made,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesman for promoters AEG Live as saying.

“The demand has been massive,” he added.

Some fans were disappointed when a technical glitch caused the website to crash.

“We witnessed an unprecedented level of demand. Apologies to those fans who were unable to log on,” said Ticketmaster managing director Chris Edmonds. (ANI)

Researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin and the University of Salzburg came to this conclusion after recording the brain electrical activity in eight pairs of guitarists with the aid of electroencephalography (EEG).

The researchers say that the finding as to how EEG readouts from pairs of guitarists become more synchronized has wider potential implications for how our brains interact when we do.

During the study, each of the eight pairs played a short jazz-fusion melody together up to 60 times, while the EEG picked up their brain waves via electrodes on their scalps.

The researchers said that the similarities among the brainwaves’ phase, both within and between the brains of the musicians, increased significantly: first when listening to a metronome beat in preparation; and secondly as they began to play together.

They said that, as they had expected, the brains’ frontal and central regions showed the strongest synchronization patterns.

But, according to the researchers, the temporal and parietal regions also showed relatively high synchronization in at least half of the pairs of musicians.

The team said that the regions might be involved in processes supporting the coordinated action between players, or in enjoying the music.

“Our findings show that interpersonally coordinated actions are preceded and accompanied by between-brain oscillatory couplings,” says Ulman Lindenberger.

The study did not determine whether such occurs in response to the beat of the metronome and music, and as a result of watching each others’ movements and listening to each others’ music, or whether the brain synchronization takes place first and causes the coordinated performance.

While scientists have shown individuals’ brains getting tuning into music before, this is the first time that any research team have measured brain activity among musicians as they performed jointly in concert.

The study has been published in the online open access journal BMC Neuroscience. (ANI)

The band will kick off the gargantuan tour in Barcelona on June 30, before heading to America in September, reports Billboard.

The band hope to stay on road until autumn 2010, by playing between 90 and 100 shows across Europe and America.

“We’re very excited about the idea to go on the road with this album. It’s an album that I think is going to translate so well to the live context. The songs we’ve tried in rehearsal are sounding fantastic, so that’s got everyone really fired up,” the Daily Express quoted guitarist The Edge as saying.

Fordham University in the Bronx was closed down for a confidential U2 concert, which was aired on American TV show ‘Good Morning America’.

The band then dedicated their set to the college kids, urging them to get the education they unfortunately opted out of.

“We’re a little combo from the north side of Dublin called U2. Hope you like our new direction. We formed a rock ‘n’ roll band so we could get out of college. Maybe if it looked like this, or felt like this, things could’ve been different,” the Daily Express quoted frontman Bono as saying.

“That’s where we came from, 17, 18 years old we started, even before we got to college so I hope we haven’t forgotten that this is exactly where we come from and we wanna pay respect to the great life we’ve been given,” Bono added.

U2’s drummer Larry Mullen Jr. revealed that the campus gig fulfilled a lifetime ambition for his father, who always had a regret that his son could not pursue his education.

“I’m so excited to be here but I’m just so pleased for my dad, because he’s gonna see this sometime soon and he’s gonna say, ‘My son Larry finally made it to college’, so I wanna thank GMA (Good Morning America) and you guys for making it real for Lawrence Mullen Senior,” Mullen said. (ANI)
