Chris Brown : ‘Chris Brown, Rihanna did not record duet post-assault’
- 0 Comments
Despite reports suggesting that Rihanna and Chris Brown have recorded a song together, a source has confirmed that there’s no duet.
“Contrary to published reports, Chris Brown and Rihanna did not record a duet after the incident,” People quoted a source, alluding to Brown’s alleged assault of his girlfriend last month, as saying.
According to the source, duet buzz may have ignited because of a standard practice used during the development of new material.
Last year, Brown and producer Polow da Don did write a song together, the source added.
Then, the source continues, “around August or September of 2008, Chris and Rihanna’s vocals were recorded as the reference vocals for this demo only. [But] the song was never conceived or intended to be a duet between them, and was later recorded by other artists.”
“Nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna together since February,” the source added.
The two made headlines in February when Rihanna, 21, was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend, 19-year-old Brown. The two have reportedly reunited since, and Brown is facing felony charges over the assault. (ANI)
