United States’ deal-of-the-day website is getting mobbed by shopaholics today and why? Incase you have been living under some rock for the past few months; we would like to let you know that today is Cyber Monday, the day when online shoppers can shop at huge discounted rates.

And incase you were living under a bigger rock for all these years, and don’t know what Groupon is, we would like to let u know that it’s the deal-of-the-day website that is localized to major markets in the United States. Compete.com cites Groupon as one of the top 1,500 sites on the Internet.

The company offers one “Groupon” per day in each of the markets it serves. The Groupon works as an assurance contract using The Point’s platform: if a certain number of people sign up for the offer, then the deal becomes available to all; if the predetermined minimum is not met, no one gets the deal that day.
