Cynthia Nixon : Cynthia Nixon says ‘Sex and the City’ sequel not confirmed

Cynthia Nixon, known for her portrayal of lawyer ‘Miranda Hobbes’ in ‘Sex and the City’, has said that a movie sequel to the popular comedy-drama is not confirmed.

While the American actress’ co-star Samantha Cattrall had said in November that the shooting for the follow-up would begin in 2009, another co-star Sarah Jessica Parker had also confirmed the plans.

However, the two-time Emmy Award-winner cast a shadow on the plans saying “nothing was for sure” and that the cast for the next instalment of the 2008 box office hit was yet to be signed.

“We don’t know if it’s coming up. We’re in negotiation. I’m very hopeful, but certainly nothing is for sure. I don’t think anyone’s deals are done,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“We were very excited to get to do the first one, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we get to do another one,” she added. (ANI)
