Dancing with the stars – Monday night!

Monday night had to be an electrifying mega performance night for the three finalist couples Mya and Dmitry Chaplin, Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson and Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel and it sure was one. The three couples literally set the stage on fire.

Mya and Dmitry’s Paso Double routine was splendid, but the couples’ freestyle routine from “Hairspray” didn’t go to well with the judges. They did score a 27/30 for “Hairspray” and the judges said they couldn’t find a fault but the “wow” factor was missing a bit. Never the less 87/90 was pretty good. They got 30 each for her fiery paso doble and for her work in the megamix challenge.

It was not a good day for Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel as they blew it up at times. The freestyle was the main blunder but the youth did pretty good considering their progress throughout the season.

The scored a 76/90. Osmond rocked the stage and earned a perfect score of 30 for his Broadway-inspired freestyle routine, which head judge Len Goodman called “an absolute show-stopper.” The couple collected 27 points for a cha-cha and 28 during the megamix challenge. At the end, they were at second place with a score of 85/90.
