Give it up for the latest fitness craze – mall walking!
The latest fitness trend hitting Britons is a double joy for those who love shopping and it’s called ‘mall walking’.
The unique exercising routine not only keeps Britons in shape, but also gives them ample time for window-shopping.
Held every Sunday, the mall walking classes are fun, free and burns up to 400 calories an hour.
Mall-walking groups can be spotted all around UK at shopping centres such as the Bullring in Birmingham, the Trafford Centre in Manchester and the White Rose in Leeds.
Joining the class would mean that the women would not only get smooth floors to walk on, but would also be staying away from the unpredictable British weather.
The sessions start with a “balanced” pace around the shopping centre’s top floor, building into a full-on power walk by lap three.
After six laps (a whopping six-mile stretch), the group finishes with lunges, squats and general stretches.
Lasting for an hour, the whole session ends with the group often grabbing a coffee together afterwards. (ANI)
