Gloria Estefan : Gloria Estefan to quit music career

Veteran singer Gloria Estefan is set to quit her musical career to spend more time with daughter.

The 51-year-old pop star has confirmed that her upcoming Latin America tour will be her last, insisting she won’t perform any more concerts after April (09) this year.

The Cuban-American singer has decided to quit music in order to focus on spending time with her 14-year-old daughter, Emily Marie.

“It is an end to something that began many years ago, in 1975, and it is a dream to be able to do it in Latin America,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“These will be the last concerts I do, after I want to focus on my daughter, who is going to high school, and continue working in other areas,” she added.

Estefan is adamant she won’t be bored with life at home because she has numerous other projects on the go. (ANI)
