Harrison Ford : Harrison Ford to be honoured with top aviation award

Harrison Ford is being given one of the aviation industry’s top awards for his work as a pilot.

The Indiana Jones star, who has been a longtime flight enthusiast, is to be honoured at the 6th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards.

The 66-year-old won his first pilot’s licence in the 1990s and then went on to create a private collection of his own aircraft.

The actor became chairman of the Young Eagles program of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) in March 2004.

There he used to teach youngsters and even flew almost 300 children in his own De Havilland Beaver plane, reports Contactmusic.

And now he is being honoured for his work with the program at a ceremony, which will take place on 22 January (09) in Los Angeles. (ANI)
