Heath Ledger’s daughter celebrates first birthday without dad

Late Heath Ledger’s daughter, Matilda, blew the candles on her third birthday – the first time without her dad.

 The Australian actor’s little girl, who turned three on October 29, was surrounded by mum Michelle Williams and a small gathering of close family and friends at their four-storey residence in Brooklyn.

Following her father’s death, the tiny blonde has been deliberately kept away from the cameras by her 28-year-old mum, reports News.com.au.

 However, the two have been occasionally spotted by the paparazzi in New York parks and cafes near their house.

Williams had met the Australian actor on the sets of the film ‘Brokeback Mountain’ in which they played husband and wife.

The actress had requested privacy to mourn the death of Ledger, who died from an accidental overdose of prescription drug in January this year. (ANI)
