Hollywood babes pose in forties-style pin-ups
- 0 Comments
A number of famous poses by pin-up girls of the Second World War era such as Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth and Lana Turner have been recreated by the present Hollywood babes.
The sexy and provocative poses by the current stars, including Susan Sarandon, Kate Hudson and Denise Richards, will appear in a new book, Hollywood Pin Ups, in aid of Oxfam.
The modern day versions, created by photographer Timothy White, had started out in the Forties when Peruvian artist Alberto Vargas painted seductively posed women for Esquire magazine in the States.
In her pose for the updated version, 62-year-old Sarandon, who still looks dashing despite her age, is seen draped in just a maroon feather boa and fishnets.
“Timothy has photographed me plenty of times before - but never with me looking like this,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
“What a treat to play in the world of the beautiful pin-up fantasy,” he added. (ANI)
