indy McCready ‘attempts suicide’

American country music singer Mindy McCready is said to have made an attempt at suicide and has been hospitalised in Nashville.

According to The New York Daily News, McCready was taken by ambulance from her home to the hospital where she is being treated for wounds on her wrists.

“We responded to a ‘10-63,’ that’s a suicidal person call. Mindy McCready was at the house,” Fox News quoted Kris Mumford, a Nashville Police Department spokeswoman, as telling the Daily News.

“Apparently she called the mother of her roommate and said some things that caused the mother concern. She called authorities. We responded with paramedics, who took her to a local hospital,” she said.

The incident comes just weeks after McCready confirmed she had an affair with married baseball star Roger Clemens. (ANI)
