Johnny Depp : Vanessa Paradis’s love inspired Depp to be a Father

Johnny Depp whose name has been associated to many women including Kate Moss reveals that he is very happy to have waited for his true love  Vanessa Paradis to have kids The couple started dating in 1998 and have two children – ten-year-old Lily Rose and seven-year-old Jack – but the actor had been married before

He told Vanity Fair magazine: “I’m glad I didn’t have children until Vanessa and I got together.”

Johnny added: “I think when you are young, you are hoping that this person will be the right one, the one you are going to be in love with forever but sometimes you want that so much you create something that isn’t really
there.

“I went through a number of relationships when I was younger because of that.”  The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star has shown off his island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, which he calls his “decompression”, in July’s Vanity Fair.

“It’s my way of trying to return to normalcy. Escapism is survival to me,” Us magazine quoted Depp as saying. Little Hall’s Pond Cay features six different beaches, named after Depp’s partner, Vanessa Paradis, and their children, Lily Rose, 10, and Jack, 7, as well as his mentors Hunter S. Thompson and Marlon Brando.

The actor has even named one patch of water “Heath’s Place” after the Heath Ledger, who died of drug overdose last year (Jan 09).

Depp will be seen playing an incarnation of Ledger in the fantasy movie, ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’, which is due later this year.
