Kate Winslet has revealed that she has the delivery room to thank for making her drop her clothes onscreen without any inhibitions.
The ‘Titanic’ star said that nudity was not an issue with her since she did it for aesthetic reasons and confessed that her time in the delivery room had taught her to wave goodbye to her vanity and self-consciousness.
“It’s never nudity for the sake of nudity. But the physical act of taking my clothes off on film, in a roomful of people? That gets easier because i’m used to it,” the Sun quoted her as
saying.
“And after you’ve had kids and you’ve been in that delivery ward, frankly, goodbye vanity, goodbye self-consciousness!”
“I’m not embarrassed about my body. I’m not. And the real me – the really, really real me – is something only my husband will ever see, because yes, there I am naked on screen, but it’s
lovely lighting and you’ve got a bit of body make-up.”
The actress has again stripped for her forthcoming movie ‘Revolutionary Road’ that sees her reunion with ex onscreen lover Leonardo DiCaprio. (ANI)
