British actress Kate Winslet is worth 60million pounds to the economy of the UK.

The 34-year-old beauty was among the celebs “audited” by the UK Film Council to estimate their salaries, public profile and “box-office effect” on entertainment sales as well as the tourism industry, reports the Daily Star.

However, the Oscar winner took the compliment lightly as a friend revealed.

According to a pal of “The Reader” actress, she found it “both flattering and very funny”. (ANI)
