Kylie Minogue to host 2009 Brit Awards

Pop star Kylie Minogue is set to host next year’s (09) Brit Awards.

The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker, who shot to fame on Australian soap opera ‘Neighbours’, is returning to her TV roots.

She will front the U.K. music awards show on British channel ITV in February.

“Kylie’s confirmed with bosses at the channel and they couldn’t be more pleased,” Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling News of the World.

“They were desperate for her to host last year but, as she was gearing up for a tour, the timing wasn’t right,” the source added. (ANI)
