Late Michael Jackson’s Mom Katherine fights back for his assets

The shadow of darkness still prevails on the Jackson Family. Likewise, it is reported that Late Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine dismissed the lawyers whom she hired to represent her in an ongoing probate case with the executors of the singer’s estate.

Regarding some decisions taken by John Branca and John McCain, Katherine is involved in a court battle with them since the King of Pop’s death in June 2009.

It appeared that Katherine has been fighting to have a say in all decisions made regarding her son’s estate because she was left 40 per cent of the net value of the ‘Thriller’ hit maker’s assets.

Few observers would regard, Katherine Jackson is one of the primary beneficiaries of her son’s estate and the legal guardian of his children. Her former attorneys had been considering mounting a challenge to the authority of the men administering the estate.

Burt Levitch, the attorney who argued Katherine Jackson’s positions at most of the hearings held in the case, refused to give comment. Nevertheless, Katherine dismissed Burt Levitch from her team of lawyers as she is apparently unhappy with the progress made in the case.

According to TMZ.com, longtime family representative Londell McMillan has also been sidelined in the probate case, although he insists he has not been fired completely. “I am not completely out,” the Daily Express quoted lawyer McMillan as saying.

Although, McMillan praised Levitch’s work but said the Jackson family was discussing a new approach to resolve lingering issues about the estate, he declined to elaborate the comment.
