Lindsay Lohan’s “embarrassing” debut clothing collection sold off well commercially!

Lindsay Lohan was slammed by the fashion critics for her debut collection of apparels at Emanuel Ungaro fashion house. She launched her first set of work at Paris Fashion Week last month along with designer Estrella Arch. The company’s founder Emanuel Ungaro, who is no longer involved with the firm, also slammed Lohan’s designs, labelling the show a “disaster”.
LiLo’s collection had received mixed response earlier. But now the collection hailed as a commercial success with all the designs flying off the shops, as reported by Contactmusic.
The collection has been doing well commercially. The bosses at the fashion house are all very supportive towards Lohan who insist that she should return with a new collection of designs for the brand.
Her debut collection as Ungaro’s ‘artistic advisor’ was widely panned with the outfits featuring a plethora of hearts. It was all from sequins on the outfits, patterns in the cloth, hats, and even heart-shaped pasties covering many of the models’ nipples, exposed by unbuttoned jackets and plunging necklines.
Speaking to Reuters, chief executive Mounir Moufarrige of Ungaro confirmed that Lohan is going to stay with them. He also said, “The criticism was harsh. I am sure we can do better in the collection, to be honest, but I think it was harsh… But it did sell well”. He added that future lines for the company needed to be “more tight” and “more identity-driven”.
