Marilyn Manson went into a shell after break-up with Evan Rachel Wood

Marilyn Manson has revealed that he went into a shell and turned into a hermit following his break-up with actress Evan Rachel Wood.

The shock rocker said he confined himself to his house for three months after the couple parted ways last year.

“I spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and then my birthday entirely alone, except for (my cat) Lily,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

“Everyone was calling me because it was the holidays. But I didn’t even speak to my parents.

“It became a real period that I felt I had to go through – like something in the Bible when they go out into the wilderness and fast.

“So I started writing to address what I was going through at the time. That was mostly my relationship. I don’t think it helped! It’s not like any of this is really a good thing,” he added. (ANI)
