It was an unbelievable coincidence when Golf pals Pat Lacy and Pat Dale both hit a hole-in-one in quick succession, and that too in the same hole.
The incident happened during a golf club cup match when the scores were all-square, and Pat Lacy, 60, took a 137-yard shot that landed right into the hole.
But she was left gobsmacked when she saw her friend, Pat Dale, 74 - who has a handicap of 19, doing the same moments later at Frilford Heath golf club near Abingdon, Oxon.
“Pat went first and we saw her shot go in. I turned to her, smiled, and mine went in as well. I was stunned then and still am now,” The Mirror quoted Pat Dale, as saying.
In fact, in 40 years of playing, this turned out to be Pat Dale’s first hole-in-one as a keen amateur.
A club spokeswoman admitted that this event even took the officials by surprise, saying: “It’s remarkable. We’ve never seen anything like it.” (ANI)
