Michael Douglas to play ‘Liberace’ in new biopic

Hollywood actor Michael Douglas will soon be seen portraying the role of ‘Liberace’ in new biopic by Steven Soderbergh.

The ‘Disclosure’ actor will play the late entertainer in the flick scripted by Richard LaGravanese.

Matt Damon is being considered to play ‘Scott Thorson’, the man who sued Liberace for 113million dollars in 1982 for ‘palimony’ and stated that he had been the entertainer’s companion for 5 years, reports Contactmusic.

Liberace, who was a gay always denied his being one, though he reportedly agreed an out-of-court settlement for 95,000 dollars in 1986, before dying the following year due to complications from AIDS.

The flick will not hit the theatres in the recent future, as the director is preoccupied with the completion of ‘The Informant’, starring Damon. (ANI)
