Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Mr Raj Kundra had a star studded reception !

Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra, so we may call her now onwards, was undoubtedly one of the prettiest brides ever. She looked like a goddess on her wedding on 22nd Nov when she was clad in a red drape with rubies and Swarovski pearls designed by Tarun Tahiliani. And on the reception day, complements are not enough to write about Shilpa’s look!
As the newly married Kundra couple hosted the reception party on 24th Nov’09, Shilpa looked stunning in designer Tarun Tahiliani’s two-piece outfit in gold with Swarovski-encrusted bodysuit along with a satin sari-gown in the same shade while hubby Raj chose a black half sherwani suit. Their happiness reflected on their faces and she blushing bride looked radiant. The chudas or the red bangles on her mehendi designed arms were so bridal and it showed that this bollywood babe surely followed all the Bunt rituals.
Oh! How can we forget the sister dear? Shamita was looking gorgeous in an embroidered saree in shades of blue. For her, dumping the Bigg Boss house for the wedding was worth it!
The couple left no stone unturned to make the reception party a grand and memorable one. The glitzy-bitsy affair had all the bollywood stars to make the reception the talk-of-the-town.
Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt was where the stars came down for the evening. The list goes like this:
Bollywood’s first man Amitabh came with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya. However, Abhishek couldn’t turn up for the occasion. The Bachchan family had to come! After all they had to attend their new neighbor’s grand wedding.
Shilpa’s debut film co-star the bollywood badshah Shahrukh came with the begum and his gang of friends including Farah Khan and family though they didn’t stay for long.
Sanjay Khan’s family was there along with Hrithik, Suzanne, Zayed and Malika. Rani Mukherjee looked stunning in a hot pink and gold saree. So did the other ladies like Ameesha Patel and Manyata Dutta who too were seen draped in sarees.
The diva Rekha was present there to shower her blessings on the newly wed. A pretty looking Kangana Ranaut, Suniel Shetty, Govinda, singer Sunidhi Chauhan and Madhur Bhandarkar accompanied by wife were just others on the guest list.
Among those who were not present was Akshay Kumar who was not invited by the couple! Also, Salman Khan was not seen in the party, might be due to SRK’s presence!!
The duo seemed extremely happy and shared their excitement with the media. “I’m Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra, so I feel very elated today. I am very excited,” said a giggling Shilpa. Raj Kundra said, “I am complete.”
It is a new life for both Shilpa and Raj and the marriage was indeed the one-in-a-decade wedding! May God bless this Kundra couple who are reported to fly to Bahamas for their honeymoon!
