Rachel Christie is not your average pretty thing!
She has recently become famous in the media for allegedly punching Miss Manchester, Sara Beverley Jones, 24, in the face in a dispute at a Manchester nightclub. She is Rachel Christie – the first and only black woman to have been awarded the crown of Miss England.
21 year old Rachel Christie has achieved quite a lot in a very young age. The first black winner of the Miss England competition is also training hard for the 2012 London Olympics as a heptathlete. She is the niece of British athletics legend Linford Christie.
After the fight and the chaos, Christie obviously got some negative publicity from the media. Recently Miss England organizers said: “Due to the media attention following the allegations against her, Rachel Christie has now decided to withdraw from the Miss World competition and relinquish her Miss England crown.”Rachel will concentrate on clearing her name and focus on training for the 2012 Olympics until this case is resolved.”

“The Men Who Stare at Goats” is a thriller and shown in Woodstock film festival for the first time. Apart from very unusual and exciting story-line, the other advantages of this film are great actors, unique background and superb music track.
The movie is all about a story of a journalist (McGregor) who went to Iraq to prove his mental strength to his ex-wife. There he meets with a Psychic US soldier who was trained by a hippie trainer Billy (Bridges) to fight with adverse military situation using mind, peace and love. The entire story of the film is the story of these two men’s adventure together.
The whole movie can be divided into three parts according to the consequence and inner aspect of the message conveyed. The first part consists of different experience of the journalist and Lye while traveling in different parts of Iraq for the mission Lye is in. The second part portrays the creation and existence of psychic soldiers in US military. This part of the movie holds the main back-story or backbone of the story. This part also represents the character of Lyn and Billy nicely. The third part is the first person narration by Ewen McGregor where he gives his thought and vision to entire scenario and the experiences he shares with Lyn in the expedition.
The movie is unique in nature and enriched the excellent acting by entire cast.
Sushmita Sen, Sanjay Dutt, Karishma Kapoor,may join ‘Raaz Pichle Janam ka’ A Reality Show!!!
One reality show after another, the latest to be joining the band wagon is a show called ‘Raaz Pichle Janam ka’. This is a new show with a new concept; it is scheduled to be aired sometime in November. It will be anchored by the Bhojpuri actor Ravi kissen.
The whole concept of the show is based on human psychology. The fact that most people have the same dream over and over again or a certain dream is repeated after sometime interval or why do some people fear heights, water, darkness etc or why do some people develop certain liking or hatred for some people, answers to such and many more have all been given a logical explanation through the show. At least the aim and the motive of the show is that.
According to a source, the basic idea of the show is to go deep into the past life of each participant. The whole process of going into the past lives of the participant will be undertaken by the clinical psychologist Dr Trupti Jayin. The method used is called ‘Past Life Regression’. This is A clinical method of recovering the memories associated with the past lives of the people chosen for the test.
The sub conscious mind of the person sitting will be explored and then a logical solution will be given. The difference of this show from the other reality shows is that this is not for fun or entertainment. This show will try to help people to get over their fears and superstitions if any that may be associated with their past lives.
Till now the shooting of the show has not started, but the buzz going around is that celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Karishma Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Kapil Dev are scheduled to come for the mind analyzing show. It is also said that Sushmita Sen. might be roped in for the first episode of this mind boggling show. All we can do is wait with our breaths held to see what unfolds in each episode, what else?

Yankees defeated Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 in the final to win this celebrated World Series and they won in 1998 also prior to this. This parade will start at 11 am from Canion of Heros and there will be a ceremony at the end in City hall plaza. To take part in ceremony, audience needs to collect their tickets and it will be disbursed through 311 or 212-NEW-YORK.
