Rachel Christie is not your average pretty thing!

She has recently become famous in the media for allegedly punching Miss Manchester, Sara Beverley Jones, 24, in the face in a dispute at a Manchester nightclub. She is Rachel Christie – the first and only black woman to have been awarded the crown of Miss England.

21 year old Rachel Christie has achieved quite a lot in a very young age. The first black winner of the Miss England competition is also training hard for the 2012 London Olympics as a heptathlete. She is the niece of British athletics legend Linford Christie.

After the fight and the chaos, Christie obviously got some negative publicity from the media. Recently Miss England organizers said: “Due to the media attention following the allegations against her, Rachel Christie has now decided to withdraw from the Miss World competition and relinquish her Miss England crown.”Rachel will concentrate on clearing her name and focus on training for the 2012 Olympics until this case is resolved.”

Lets hope that the beauty queen can achieve her dreams and not let success spoil her!
