Rae Carruth: former American football wide receiver to appear on ESPN!

Former Carolina Panthers wide receiver, Rae Carruth, who was found guilty of conspiring to murder his girlfriend and is currently serving a prison sentence, will air on a special program “The Rae Carruth Story:  10 Years Later” on ESPN reported Pat Yasinskas.

Cherica Adams, a woman Carruth had been dating, was shot four times in a drive-by shooting. Adams who was six months pregnant with Carruth’s child at the time, still made it after the assault, reported Carruth had stopped his vehicle in front of her car and another vehicle drove shot her while driving alongside.

Cherica Adams died a week later but doctors were able to save her baby. He was sentenced to 18 to 24 years in prison however he is now serving a sentence of at least 19 years and 11 months at Nash Correctional Institution Raleigh, North Carolina.
