Result of Miss Universe 2008: Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza grabs the crown!

Finally the Miss Universe 2008 has come to an end with Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela winning the coveted crown. She won the contest defeating the other four contestents Miss Mexico Elisa Najera, Miss Colombia Tailana Vargas, Miss Dominican Republic Marianne Cruz Gonzalez, and Miss Russia Vera Krasova.

Born on June 1 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela Dayana Mendoza is a famous model and was crowned Miss Venezuela in 2007.

On 2001 Mendoza signed with Elite Model Management and modeled in Italy, France, United States, England, Greece, Spain, Germany, Mexico and Peru for Versace, Roberto Cavalli and other fashion designers[citation needed].
