Robert Pattinson : Robert Pattinson likes playing ‘weirdos’

Robert Pattinson has no interest in doing a blockbuster action movie, and is most content portraying ‘weirdos’ in independent films.
The British actor, who has become a huge star since landing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight franchise, says that he loves taking on unorthodox roles because he can then blame any criticisms of his performance on the character’s personality.
“There’s no point (doing an action blockbuster) – I mean, I don’t have any material desires at all. I wear the same clothes every single day. I don’t buy anything. And I don’t go out anymore either,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Vanity Fair magazine.
“(When you play a weirdo), you can always have an excuse… ‘He’s a weirdo,’” he added. (ANI)

We love weirdos. Why would we want to watch some ordinary, plain character messing around with ordinary things?

He’s made his characters weird by the way he portrayed them. Don’t pass the buck, Rob. If he doesn’t like playing Edward Cullen he should just give the millions he made back, and go back to making movies that never went anywhere. He should be grateful that no matter how foolish or tired he may feel doing it, this Saga is the one that made him famous. Suck it up. Life isn’t always easy. You are one of the fortunate ones. Take some vitamins.
