Robert Pattinson vs.Taylor Lautner -Taylor pips R -Patz to bag ‘Spiderman Reboot’?

Since Columbia has decided to reboot the Spiderman Series, all we are hearing is rumors, rumors and only rumors. Last time we had scoops that Twilight Star Robert Pattinson may become the next Spiderman but then reports came in that Executives feels that he is too old for the role and now the man who is making news is his Twilight Co-star Taylor Lautner.

According to reports from IESB, Taylor Lautner has met the Spiderman producers but there are no details available if he was taking up the main character or some other role. We all know that Spidy is going back to his high-school days and for that they need someone quite young and 17-year old Lautner looks like a good prospect for sure, compared to Pattinson who is 23.

Lautner we all know studied Karate from the age of six and so will be a good one for actions scenes if the producers want him to perform any. But still nothing is finalized and more importantly as the Studio mentioned earlier they are searching for a director, so I think before the director comes in the producers are creating a pool of actors from which the director can choose whenever he comes in and I think Taylor is just one of the actors, now included in that pool. Though I believe Columbia would choose someone unknown but I would love to see Taylor Lautner talking up this role coz he looks like a pretty cool kid and will be a fine actor for this role.

    well…robert is the right spiderman…he can look like a nerd and dashing at the same time. Taylor at the other way..seems always want to look good…but seems like he is trying his best to look good.I dont think he can pull it off as the nerdy peter spiderman.Robert is good candidate. believe me!!!

    i think the old spiderman should stay no replacing him with none ..he is best for peter. i love taylor lautner and it would not be bad seeing him in the spider man suit n he can be dorky and cool at the same time ….i love tay!

    Robert is a good choice and he is perfect to replace Toby as Spiderman. Taylor is too trying hard to be noticed and too conceited…sorry. Of the 3 major stars of the Twi Saga Taylor seems soo arrogant. His nose is really a big distraction on screen.

    I can’t even imagine Robert Pattinson in Spiderman tights. Hysterical. Plus , he’s not very co-ordinated and has no real bod for that type of thing. Could you imagine him scampering up a brick wall.? Great comedy!

    I look forward to Robert Pattinson movies, would liked to see him grow as an actor and what kind of actor he can become. BUT…could not see Robert as Spiderman. No way..

    i love rob and all but i think toby should still be spiderman… it suits him! and plus, sources say that rob already declined the offer bacause of schedules or something like that.

    i dont think taylor is a good candidate. peter is suppose to be nerdy and NOT BUFF.
