Sacha Cohen : Sacha Cohen’s new film faces adults cinema rating in U.S.

Brit comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s new film ‘Bruno’ is said to be facing an adults-only certification in the U.S., after it was judged to be too sexually explicit for young viewers.

As per TheWrap.com, when the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) panel reviewed the film, it listed it under the restricted NC-17 cinema rating, which prevents anyone under the age of 17 from viewing it.

The movie also caused concern among ratings officials after it featured several sexually explicit scenes, particularly a sequence that shows Cohen’s character engaging in what appears to be anal sex with another man.

“On its first submission the film did not receive an R (less restrictive rating), but it is far too early to say that there is any struggle to get there as the process is only at its inception,” Contactmusic quoted a spokesperson for movie studio Universal as saying.

The film is expected to be released in July. (ANI)
