ShahRukh, Salman, Aamir: Khan Power!

The tragic terror of 26/11 in Mumbai has been one of the most devastating days after 9/11 in the US. This year, 26/11/2009 has been totally dedicated to the Martyrs by one and all in Mumbai and all over India praying for their souls to rest in peace. It was a terrible 60 hours for the entire nation as all stayed glued to television to witness the terrible scene taking place on those ill fated three days in 2008. Now one year after the tragic event, Indians are one, and all are unanimous in saying that no one or nothing can break India and we shall be united always.
It was ShahRukh who late on the 25th night paid his respects to the martyrs by visiting the site and inscribing a message for them. He wrote the message of “Love, Light and Prayers for all”.
Salman Khan said that he only had hatred for the people who indulge in such terrible crimes and Aamir too condemned such acts of terror and pleaded to all to pray for all those who fought bravely and sacrificed their lives showing true patriotism.
Besides, there were many other celebrities who paid respects to the martyrs and sent messages to their families. Viveik Oberoi, John Abhram, and Ashish Chaudhury a well known actor who had lost his sister in the tragedy, also paid their tributes and prayed for all those who had lost their beloved ones in the tragedy. Directors Kabir Khan and Rensil D’Souza along with Saif Ali Khan were also among others to give their personal messages to fight terrorism and pray for all those who sacrificed their lives on this ill fated day.
Actor Vinod Khanna and Seema Biswas have come out with a movie dedicated to the martyrs; the name of the film is “Un Hazaaron Ke Naam”. It is based on 26/11.
Besides this, many music composers and singers have paid their tributes by composing songs for these departed souls. Sonu Nigam has come out with a song dedicated to the brave souls who fought selflessly.
Right from morning, thousands of people in Mumbai went and lit candles at the spots where the attack had taken place. Prayers and ceremonies that were organized by various religious heads and institutions were organized all day. The Gate way of India had a religious prayer, choir and condolence messages all being held in front of it. It was indeed a tearful day for all as the tragic events just a year ago came like a bad dream flooding all eyes in sad tears. Let us close our eyes for a minute and pray for all people who sacrificed their lives in any part of the world for letting their souls rest in peace. Let us pray for a more peaceful world with more people spreading the message of love and tolerance of all mankind.
