Shaniya Davis’s a true story of a Poor kid !

The movie “Precious” highly reflects the story of 5year old Shaniya Davis who was raped and strangled to death last Monday. The only difference is that Precious stays to survive while poor kid leaves the world forever!
The movie which was released on Nov 6th 2009 shows an overweight, illiterate African-American teen Claireece “Precious” Jones played by Gabourey Sidibe who lives in New York with her horrible family. Her mother mentally abuses her while she is consistently raped by her father and even impregnated twice! It’s till the time she meets her high school Principal Mrs. Lichtenstein when she gets a hope to change her life to another direction.
She finds a new way to look at the world with her imagination and fantasies. While being raped, she begins to imagine herself shooting for a music video and she is the superstar there! When she looks at the photo album, she imagines the snaps talking to her. She looks at the mirror to see herself as a pretty blonde. She imagines living in another world where she is loved and appreciated by all unlike her real life!
Sadly, all “Precious” don’t really have the same luck. The recent case of Shaniya Davis is a pathetic and horrible repeat of the Hollywood flick only with a much dreadful twist at the end.
