Sigourney Weaver says Queen’s example can help Hollywood beat credit crunch

For Sigourney Weaver, best known for her roles as Lt. Ellen Ripley in the ‘Alien’ film series, the Queen has set an example on how to keep up with the hard-hitting credit crunch.

As per the actress, the movie industry royals could pick a few pointers from Her Majesty who has showed support by repeating her gowns on occasions rather than investing in a new wardrobe.

“Our behaviour is changing. Look at how we re-use and recycle. I want to see people at movie premieres wearing outfits they’ve had for 10 years,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

The Telegraph had earlier reported how the Queen had worn a formal evening gown made from material given to her more than 20 years ago at a state banquet in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. (ANI)
