Sir Paul McCartney : Macca, Ringo Starr reunite for meditation charity concert

Former ‘The Beatles’ members Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited for a concert on April 4, to raise money for a meditation charity.

McCartney headlined the show at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall as part of The David Lynch Foundation’s ‘Change Begins Within’ concert in aid of Transcendental Meditation.

Both stars became avid meditators in 1967 after The Beatles’ trip to India, where they sought spiritual guidance from guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

McCartney was keen to tell the audience how the Eastern relaxation method could change people for the better.

“It started for us when we met the Maharishi in India and it’s going to get bigger and bigger and rule the world,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

McCartney sang a couple of solos and Beatles hits before he brought Starr on stage.

The pair performed the Beatles song, With a Little Help from My Friends together before embracing afterwards. (ANI)
