Having visited Stonehenge a number of times myself and having gone into the inner circle I can believe that there is no one definitive explanation for Stonehenge. It has, over time, meant and been used for lots of things by different people. To this day people still believe in the energies of the Preseli Bluestones but different people interpret these energies in different ways. To this day people get married (handfasted) at Stonehenge. I can imagine that if it was allowed that people would still want to be buried there and I know of people who still view the place as a healing centre. It's a shame the academics cannot be funded without having to battle for the money with sensationalism because I do believe that all these theories have merit (up to a point).
