Zac Efron : Zac Efron’s smart ways to get away from stalking photographers

Movie star Zac Efron has found a new way to get rid of paparazzi – he bribes security guards to let him hide in Hollywood studios.

The 21-year-old actor has become among the top targets for Los Angeles’ intrepid tabloid photographers, who stalk his every move.

However, Efron says that he has found the ideal hiding spot – he disappears into an un-named L.A. studio lot whenever he’s being followed.

“I’ve kinda got it figured out. I just pull into the lot, and they can’t follow me,” Contactmusic quoted Efron as telling GQ magazine.

However, the High School Musical star admits that he has to pay off security guards with signed memorabilia whenever he wants to hide.

“The first time I did it, they weren’t going to let me in. The guy at the gate was like, ‘What are you gonna do for me?’ He’s like, ‘I got kids.’ And I was like, ‘Well, I got a poster in the trunk!’ It’s smart to keep some swag in the trunk, just in case,” he added. (ANI)

Zac Efron’s first movie after ‘High School Musical’ franchise-17 Again-opened to a huge response, and from here the actor is carefully planning his next move.

The 21-year-old actor has said that he is thinking very carefully before taking up a new project in hand, reports The China Daily.

“I’m looking very carefully at the movies being offered,” said Efron on the eve of the opening of ‘17 Again’.

He added: “It’s about taking my fan base with me but then doing movies that open me up to a broader level.”

With his new film, the young actor has proved that he is more than just another pretty boy and that he could be on the verge of becoming a young leading man.

Besides, following in the footsteps of Cruise and Will Smith, Efron took an active role in the promotion of ‘17 Again’.

He even worked the talk show circuit, made a detour through London and hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’. (ANI)

Vanessa Hudgens says “I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s a*s. I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody.”

The actress, who is dating her ‘High School Musical’ co-star Zac Efron, believes that she has what it takes to become an action star, reports The China Daily.

She said: “I have really strong legs. I inherited them from my dad, who has tree stumps for legs, basically. I’ve got big calves that look good. When I wear heels, it looks like I’ve worked out my legs a lot, which is why I love them. I also have a big, big big toe. I call it my goat toe. I can climb anything.” (ANI)

Hufgens is mostly known for her role as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series.She pursued a solo music career and released her debut album V on September 26, 2006. Hudgens had released her second album, Identified in July 1, 2008 in the U.S. She will be portraying the role of Sam in the film Bandslam, in theaters August 14, 2009.

The pretty Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she carries a Taser in her purse at all times. “I keep [it] for self-defense. I’m moving into a house by myself, and it’s scary,” she said.

Hudgens has also revealed her darkest secret – she’s got a freakishly huge toe.

“I have a big, big, big toe. I call it my goat toe,” the New York Daily News quoted the High School Musical star, as saying in Self magazine’s May issue.

Hudgens also said that she’s obsessed with Angelina Jolie and dreams of following in her footsteps.

“I’m in love with Angelina Jolie. Everything she does, I adore. I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s a*s. I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody,” she said. (ANI)

High School Musical actor Zac Efron fell down on an airport guy and has offered his apologies to him. He had fell on top of him while running away from the paparazzi.

The 21-year-old heartthrob revealed he had been running run up and down an escalator to escape tailing photographers when he tripped, fell and landed on security guard who was trying to help him.

“There were so many paparazzi. It was crazy. When there’s that many paparazzi, you can’t see. People start yelling. People get hurt,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

“While I was running, the guy in front of me kind of fell and then I fell on top of him. It was kind of weird.

“The guy was not a bodyguard – he was just a guy from the airport helping out. I felt terrible,” he added. (ANI)

High School Musical star Zac Efron has revealed that he always keeps memorabilia of his films in the boot of his car, to help get him out of sticky situations.

Efron, 21, says that in order for him to get his way, he sometimes has to resort to using such tactics, reports the China Daily.

“I’ve kind of got it figured out. I just pull in to the lot at the movie studio and photographers can’t follow me,” he said.

“The first time I did it, they weren’t going to let me in. The guy at the gate was like, ‘What are you going to do for me?’ I said, ‘What do you want me to do?’ He’s like, ‘I got kids.’ And I was like, ‘Well, I got a poster in the trunk!’

Muggers and robbers need to think twice before they go near actress Vanessa Hudgens, for the ‘High School Musical’ star now keeps herself armed with a taser gun.

The 20-year-old star has recently bought a new Hollywood home, and has confessed that she feels vulnerable living on her own.

To avert any potential danger, the Disney starlet has splashed out on a gun that will zap bad guys with a painful blast of electricity.

“I keep a taser in my purse for self-defence,” the Daily Express quoted Hudgens as telling Us Weekly magazine.

She added: “I’m moving into a house by myself and it’s scary.” (ANI)

If there’s one man Zac Efron looks up to, then it’s the World’s Sexiest Man Hugh Jackman.

The ‘High School Musical’ actor revealed he would love to hop the path treaded by Jackman who was a role model for him.

“I aspire be where he’s at some day – to have that drive. It gives me hope a little bit,” News.com.au quoted him as saying.

On being questioned if he would like to share the frame with the Australian, the 21-year-old replied: “Man I wish, can somebody write that? That could be a musical too. He could pull it off.”

Efron went on to say how he was impressed and inspired by his senior actor with whom he shared the Oscar stage.

He said: “When I heard I was going to be on stage with Hugh, I was shocked. I was like, ‘I can’t keep up with that guy’.

“Not only is he a better singer and dancer, he’s 6 foot three, or four. He’s the tallest guy that I’ve ever seen be that coordinated.” (ANI)

High School Musical actress Ashley Tisdale has played muse to one of her fans, who after being inspired by the star landed himself with the lead role in his school’s version of ‘Peter Pan’.

The 23-year-old said that a teen had written to her telling about how he had gathered his nerves to audition for the part, and tasted success later.

“It’s great to be able to touch peoples’ lives,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“We actually had a boy come over to us and explain how he got the courage to audition for a school musical after watching our movie.

“He was a basketball jock who ended up getting the lead in Peter Pan,” she added. (ANI)

Ashley Tisdale’s emotional outburst over High School Musical

Ashley Tisdale, famous for her role in the High School Musical series, broke down while filming the final scenes of HMS 3, devastated that her part in the franchise is over.

The actress who played the much-appreciated role of Sharpay Evans in the hit teen series won’t be playing the role in the fourth part.

Tisdale revealed that the final scenes of the movie were quite tear jerking and she was not the only one to cry her, cast mates Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Blue got emotional too.

“We’re so attached to each other. We’ve had such fun doing these movies. It’s definitely something that’s tough to leave and say goodbye to,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Ashley had no qualms admitting the fact that she’s extremely close to all her fellow actors and would badly miss working with them in the hit teen series.

“We went into the last day thinking, ‘It’ll all be fine ’cause we’re all really good friends and we’re so close. It wasn’t even the last scene – we couldn’t even get through it. We were crying and just so emotional over the whole thing,” She said.

Tisdale also confirmed that her fellow actors would also be replaced in the fourth part along with her, reports Contactmusic.

“I heard they’re going to do a High School Musical 4, but we have nothing to do with it. I think we’re all doing other projects and moving on,” she added (ANI)

Ticket sales for High School Musical reach £20 million

Emmy Award winning American television show High School Musical made a record breaking 20 million pounds from sale of its tickets in the UK. The Disney production, which is aimed at children, is in great demand in Britain, and producers have described the rush for tickets as “nothing short of astonishing”.

High School Musical made its debut in 2006 on the Disney Channel and is now viewed by 200 million people around the world, with the show being based it. The show, which is playing at regional theatres, opened in January and the 20 million pounds, covers the touring production. There were advance ticket sales for the sister production which opens in London on July 5 Saturday night with a star-studded premiere at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Everything has been readied for the show, with barriers having been erected around the stage door in Hammersmith to protect the cast from over-excited pre-teens. The London show has been in preview for the past week and a spokesman for the production admitted that the turn up was unbelievable.

“We always knew the show would be popular but the fan reaction has to be seen to be believed. It is like mini-Beatlemania,” the Daily Telegraph quoted the spokesman.

“At the end of the show, cannons fire sparkly confetti over the auditorium. We thought it would be a big nightly job to get it all cleared up, but within two minutes it has completely disappeared because children are stashing it away in their pockets as a souvenir,” he added.

The London production stars Mark Henry-Evans and Claire-Marie Hall as Troy and Gabriella, a basketball hunk and a shy maths student who try out for parts in the school musical.

Letitia Dean, the former EastEnders star, plays eccentric drama teacher Mrs Darbus. The show will be going on throughout the school holidays, and fans will be given a bigger treat when a new High School Musical film is set for release in cinemas this October. (ANI)
