The 1996 crazed “How Bizarre” singer from OMC passes away!

New Zealand singer, songwriter and musician Pauly Fuemana the lead singer of the music duo of OMC (Otara Millionaires Club), who shot to fame with his chart buster track How Bizarre in 1995 – 1996 died shortly before his 41st birthday, due to some illness at North Shore Hospital, North Shore City, on January 31, 2010, shortly after 7:00 a.m.

Pauly was hospitalized since the beginning of 2010. After his super success with “How Bizarre” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart and won the award for “Single of the Year” at the 1996 New Zealand Music Awards, things soon turned around as Pauly filed for bankruptcy in 2006.

Though he reformed the band in 2007 and launched another single called the 4 All of Us, featuring actress Lucy Lawless, he could never reach his previous heights and remained a one hit wonder.

Fact: The music video of How Bizarre featured Pauly Fuemana driving around in a ’68 Chevy Impala while the song lyrics kept on mentioning “Chevy ’69.” How Bizarre! Isn’t it?
