It’s all about turkey at this point of time isn’t it? I have got another awesome and easy turkey recipe, that’s good for you, good for health and likeable by children too.
Ladies and gentlemen we are talking about Chili Turkey here. Before your tongue starts dripping let me describe about the stuff you are going to need for cooking this hot dish.
1. 2 tablespoons corn oil
2. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 large cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4. 1 15-ounce can pinto beans
5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
6. 2 teaspoons chili powder
7. 1 large onion
8. 1-1/4 pounds fresh ground turkey (ground without skin)
Now this is really easy, here is how you do it:
Peel the onions and then chop them, you can turn on the heat (medium) of a large saucepan with oil into it and place pot on burner, while you are peeling and chopping the onion. After you are done, and the oil is hot too, pour the chopped onion in the sauce pan and stir occasionally with a wooden spoon for around 5 minutes. Now add that ground turkey to the pot and keep on stirring with a wooden spoon until the turkey becomes golden brown. Now you need to out garlic powder or garlic, chili powder, black pepper, and cumin in the pot and stir it well so that it mixes completely. Rinse pinto and black beans thoroughly buy putting them in a strainer under cold running water. Now pour the beans, tomatoes and their juice, tomato paste, chicken broth, and corn into pot and stir well until it’s completely hot. Rinse and slice green portions of green onions and stir them in the pot, then remove the pot from the heat and ladle hot chili into bowls. Let it cool a bit and ENJOY! You can also add salad and corn bread with it as side dishes.
