Val Kilmer to run for New Mexico Governor?

Rumours are abuzz that Val Kilmer might become a candidate for governor of the US state of New Mexico.

According to reports, ‘The ‘Batman Forever’ star has been tipped by current governor Bill Richardson to take the hotseat when his second term ends in 2010.

Richardson acknowledged that he hasn’t talked with Kilmer and doesn’t know whether he’s seriously considering a bid for the governorship, but he believes that the actor would be successful if he took a run at office.

“if he jumps in a race he’s got name ID, so it can’t be discounted,” FoxNews.com quoted Richardson, as saying.

The actor’s agent, David Unger, declined to comment on whether Kilmer might become a candidate for governor. (ANI)
